Gigantic waves took away the lives of five Portuguese college students that were participating in a university initiation ritual at Meco beach, not far from Lisbon.
This is the story of a mother and father who started suspecting something was wrong when they saw, in a TV footnote, that five youngsters were missing from a beach. They left the house without knowing their daughter Catarina was one of them. Near the shore, an enormous white tent was already waiting for families like theirs. They had to wait eight days for the sea to bring back Catarina’s body.
